The Glorious City of Prague In The Czech Republic
When planning your Europe holidays Prague in the Czech Republic is a great location to consider. It is the largest city in the Czech Republic and also the capital. It is full of the wonders with a distinct culture as interesting as it is endearing. This city, on the Vltava River, is part of Bohemia. For architectural enthusiasts this means a wonderful vista of Gothic, Roman and Renaissance influence. It’s important to see the Prague Castle, built in the 9th century, with its Basilica of St. George and St. Vitus and the awesome Vladislav Hall. Prague has become one of the most popular tourist sites for Europe holidays because it offers so much history from famous landmarks like the Jewish Museum, Smetana Theatre and numerous galleries that welcome visitors.
Some evening during this winter I went back from visit and I made some photos. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, but it was taken with my handy Sony Ericsson K790i and it make bad photos in night. However there were so much snow, that I liked to do some photos. One picture in the Old Square town with our Mr. Hus and toilette instead of him I see little bit funny. Have a look to the Christmas Prague photos too.
The Prague is every Christmas really nice, especially in Old Town. Each year different Christmas lights color on the streets. Just look for the few photos below.
This city is far away from Prague, almost 4 hours with car, if you have not traffic jam. So if you need go to Ostrava to business meeting like me, the best way is to catch train “Pendolino” which is going to Ostrava in three hours. The first one is starting from Prague in 5:23 and you sould catch first metro (it start in 4:45). Then you will be in Ostrava in cca 8:30. It is rally good that the train stops just in few train station (Prague m.s. – Pardubice – Olomouc – Ostrava–Svinov – Ostrava m.s.).
